The Tale of Chronus and Tsukimono

Chronus, the god of time, was a well sought after male. He had the looks, he had the power and he had the status. Who could resist a handsome, young King of Pluto? Many of the women of Pluto had tried plenty of times to catch his attention, but not one of those girls had ever inspired what he was looking for in a woman. The young male spent the majority of his time making sure the occupants of Pluto were happy and healthy, rather than producing an heir to the throne. Not that it seemed to bother him all that much, as he had eternity to find a woman of magnitude to call his own.

Fate had a funny way of appearing at the strangest of times, even to a god that could change such occurrences. Though this was something that he would never want to change, for they were the best times of his life to date. It was when Chronus was inspecting the designs for a new district, trying to imagine what the end result of the construction would be. A green blur caught his attention in the forest to the side and he went to follow it, instructing the guards and workers to continue with what they were doing.

After what did appear like eternity to Chronus, he came across a young woman resting against a tree. She was the most dazzling woman he had come across and instantly felt connected with her. The King leaned down to this gorgeous young lady and checked to see if she was alright. She awoke the moment her placed a small kiss upon her forehead, a spaced look in her eyes. It was love at first sight. Tsukimono was the name of this noble lady and it wasn't long before she became Tsukimono Meio.

The kingdom rejoiced at their King's newfound happiness, for the lands were even more prosperous with a Queen at his side. He was able to truly understand and relate to all those around him at last. After many years of being a married couple, the two became a family of three. They had a beautiful young girl called Setsuna, who would be the air to the throne of Pluto. Chronus didn't care that he did not have a son first, and seemed quite pleased with little Setsuna, more so than he would have with a boy.

To the young male, she was everything that he saw in her mother, in a little package. However, with the title of Queen of Pluto, so came the responsibility to look after the Time Gate. Not many knew of this, but Tsukimono was the first guardian of the Gate after Chronus made its presence known to the universe. Setsuna was left behind with her father, as her mother protected the Time Gate from misuse. Chronus would often visit the young woman and bring Setsuna with them, making sure the Queen was not lonely. He truly loved this woman with all his heart.

Chronus kept this up for many, many years until a tragedy hit the Meio family....
