Setsuna Meiou

Physical Description

Setsuna is the oldest looking of the senshi and possibly the most graceful. She is tall and slender, and always so well dressed. She has ruby colored eyes and long emerald hair. She has pale skin because she does not get to see much sun. Unknown to even Scythe, when he disappeared on her, she got his name tattooed on her tail bone in calligraphic lettering. This was something that was out of the ordinary for her to go and do, but this was her expression of her love for him and that she would wait for him, even if they were made enemies. She normally wears suits when she is in the earth realm under her civilian identity. Other than that, she stays in her senshi form.

Personality

Setsuna always was a lonely individual, even back in the time of the Silver Millennium. Due to her job as the keeper and protector of the Time Gate, she has always stood at a distance. She is a very loyal woman to those that she lets close to her, but only one person has been able to fully break that barrier. That person is the father of her daughter. After everything the senshi have been through time and time again, Setsuna has let them in a little bit, but not quite as much as Scythe and Lorelai know. She still is cold sometimes, often blunt and uncaring of the effect of her words. She tends to only leave her realm these days to make sure her daughter is ok and keeping out of trouble.

Attacks

• Pluto Deadly Scream: Her main attack. It is mainly an energy ball, but light purple. Ironically, she whispers the attack.
• Time Stop: No words are actually said in this power, but Pluto stops time nonetheless. The only time she used this was when they got in a helicopter crash in Sailor Moon S to save Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune from the crash.
• Chronus Typhoon: Pluto sends a gust of wind from her Time Staff.
• Garnet Ball: Pluto creates a floating barrier around herself and those nearby her.
• Dark Dome Close: Forever closes the gates of time. Pluto used this only once, to contain the destruction of Sailor Saturn's "Death Reborn Revolution" attack.

Minor Abilities

• Transportation: She has the ability to transport to any realm in any location she wishes, to any time.
• Minor Healing: She can heal minor cuts and wounds with her power.

History

Setsuna was born into a golden age of Pluto, her parents reigning over the content peoples. Her childhood was like any other in the crime free kingdom, full of friends and childish games. That said, she spent as much time with her mother as possible. She was continually told that her mother would be going away for a long time, but she never believed that she could leave the young future Senshi behind. She was sadly mistaken when she was four years old and the Queen took her rightful place at the Gates of time. That was the first blow to her emotions that changed her into the woman she is today, but she still had fun and was a fast learner.

Many years passed and the little girl became an elegant woman, rivaling even her mother in beauty and grace. This was around the time that she had started to frequent the Moon Kingdom, often chatting with Queen Serenity. Setsuna's destiny was fast approaching and Tsukimono often commented over the years that she would have to be prepared for the day when she would no longer be there. Without the powers held by protecting the Time Gate, Tsukimono was nothing but a mere mortal, but not only that, she could see the future thanks to her position. She had prepared her daughter as best she could.

On Setsuna's twenty-third year, tragedy beset the royal family of Pluto. As fate would have it, Tsukimono was placed right in front of Chronus' nose, only to have her stolen away from them. A curse had been cast on the woman before he had found her, one that has to this day, yet to be lifted. She is hidden within the Pluto Castle, away from the vision of their people. Chronus made sure that they did not know their Queen's life had been frozen, as it were. She is living, but at the same time, she is non-responsive, like a coma patient. Queen Serenity came to Setsuna soon after, having been told by Tsukimono what was going to occur.

Setsuna was charged with the protection of the Time Gate, just like her mother, whilst Chronus continued to rule on Pluto. He didn't like the idea of his daughter being alone after having such a life full of love and friends, but he had seen the changes slowly over the years. The young woman was distant and didn't express herself after she had lost her mother. She had stopped aging because of her heritage, but the powers of the Time Gate drew a strange life force into her, a younger one. She felt like she was a teenager, although still looking like a young adult. She was forced to adhere to three rules.

She was fully warned that if she ever broke any of these rules, she would forfeit her life. The lone Senshi was forced to watch as the Silver Millennium was reduced to ruins. In fact, most of her life was spent watching whilst things occurred to the other Senshi over and over again. Not standing it anymore as her close friend and semi-daughter Chibi-usa was in serious and deadly trouble, she did the forbidden and got herself involved with the small lady by sending her back to the past to be safe from harm. This was when everything began to change.

After dying from using the forbidden power of 'Time Stop' she was reformed back to her kingdom on Pluto with her father at her bed side when she was back to the age of 15. He told her many things that would happen in the future and what needed to be done then transported her, leaving her back to the age of 23 and at the doors of time.

Setsuna then returned to the present to help Usagi once more with the help of Sailor Uranus and Neptune. Soon to become a mother to Sailor Saturn and fighting in the Senshi Wars. Then everything came into place once again after the Sailor Senshi War. It was decided after raising Hotaru to the age of 15 that Setsuna would return to her duty at the Gates of Time and Space. Time pasted by as Sailor Pluto watched the gates once again.

As the future came to be she realized something was amiss other than in her own life as her past crush Mamoru Chiba had done a terrible deed which was strangely not like him at all. Witnessing everything through her own eyes that the whole future she had watched once was now a whole new one. She began to watch Chibi-usa and raised her like her own till coming age. Forbidden to speak of most that she sees, she could tell no one of what had really happened that horrible night.

Living alone once again in the gates of time, she went to confront Mamoru only to get a reaction and power like no other and him disappearing into the darkness and out of sight of everyone. Setsuna returned to the Gates of Time confused and worried yet there was nothing in her power that could be done. Her life was about to take yet another strange turn around that time as a male stumbled into her realm. She had threatened him, much like she had Usagi the first time she had entered into the Time Realm. Upon realizing he was there by mistake, she sent him off on his merry way, thinking that, that would be the end of it.

To her surprise, this man, Kisho as she knew him then, continued to visit her. At first it frustrated her and she just wanted to be left alone, like she always had. But eventually his presence grew on her and she started to look forward to seeing him. This went on for four straight years until she finally gave in. They were happy in the beginning and much like her mother, she became pregnant fairly fast. The only difference was, she was not married to Kisho and probably never would be. She understood him and his family's rules too well to hold him down. After all, she knew that controlling the realms was higher on his list than being with his family, or he would have stayed.

After a while, Kisho stopped coming to see them, and Lorelai was about six at that time. She was much too young to remember who her father was. At that point, Setsuna was too heartbroken to be around her daughter and sent her to live in her true home, the Charon Castle. She has since then just spent her time once more in solitude, keeping an eye on the proceedings around the realms and rarely visiting her daughter. The lone warrior had become just that again after losing her family for a second time.
